Dan Tristao retained the Cunis Cup despite strong opposition and all the efforts of the handicapper. There were 8 entries and two pools of 4 players yielded a final between Dan and Sam Roberts, who had overcome last year's runner-up Charlie Brooks by the narrowest of margins in his group decider. Dan too was pushed all the way and had to save several game points before defeating Ed Kay. Ed withdrew from the 3rd-place match with a bad bruise. The tournament was followed by both AGM and Dinner, and the whole afternoon was enjoyed by players and spectators.
