ATM Machine;
The last bank scheme (Lloyd's) was not very successful, largely due to the lack of publicity and the convenience of it- it was only available on fridays. The question was raised as to whether money is actually needed in school. Council agrees that Bank/ATM scheme should be pursued, regardless of opinions.
Fridays;
Point was raised that if there are no lessons in the morning, is it really necessary for a pupil to have to come in to tutors. Messages could easily be exchanged via e-mail, which would save the enormous amounts of paper being wasted.
The reason for tutor meetings to occur is somewhat unclear as most are wasted due to assemblies. If tutor meetings are for messages to be transported round the school, then is the morning break tannoy really necessary either.
Council agrees that this period is useful for community spirit, especially in helping 4th formers acclimatise to St.Pauls, however, there are 3 junior assemblies a week, so is it necessary for boys, seniors in particular to have to come in to tutors five times a week. Apparently, registration is meant to take place in lessons, which undermines the point of coming in to tutors for this puirpose.
Council agrees that registration system needs to be reviewed.
The tediousness of the school about being five minutes late for tutors was also highlighted and that whether seniors and juniors should have different rules about this.
The council was in disbelief at the absence of Mrs.Ball!
