Minutes 27/2/13
Mr Wilson: Head Architect is coming in next week for a chat.
Ashay:
- Path to Hammersmith Bridge – temporary patch-work took place. Will it last? Weather influences?
- 4th Formers – they can now miss a Monday Activity for a crucially interesting society talk if they speak to the appropriate people.
- Separate rooms for gaming – pointless. Senior monitoring of noise level in any computer room.
- Sports educational talks – problem: team members probably won’t be able to make talks (training)
- Old Porters’ Lodge – this will now be a wireless printer / quiet study room.
- Vending machines – new food one in U8th CR, coffee machine pending (water supply, positioning etc.)
This Week:
- Could there be a page on the intranet detailing all of the technical facilities St Paul’s has to offer. IT should be consulted, then the necessary creative depts.
- CPR classes – there is a de-fibrillator, but could there be more. Speak to BRG
- New key FOBs with doors – if they’re not working, take them to the Porters’ Lodge and get them re-programmed. There will be teething problems, such as the fire alarm issues with Physics last week (if it goes off in a different building, then just stay put).
- Keys opening windows to block? No – thermostat must be kept regular.
- “Speaker’s Corner in the Atrium” – 5 mins on a Friday morning break to talk about whatever one wishes. One can already use the atrium to advertise Societies, so why not? Problem: what about visitors coming in for a tour, and censhorship? Regulation too – Prefect atrium duty?
- The Old Physics Dept. will be used when the General teaching block is revamped to avoid the temporary nature of Porter Cabins (OP offices)
