Minutes 7/2/13

This Week:

·      Architects – coming into 8^th Assembly to speak briefly about feedback for new General Teaching block.

·      Path to Hammersmith Bridge – apparently far too muddy. Could it be shelled, as opposed to the time and money consuming requirements of gravelling / tar mac?

Suggestions from the SC Live Sessions in the atrium (ones that made it past a veto):

·      Pull up bar hanging from the ceiling in the gym – speak to Mr Blurton if this is wanted.

·      Hockey games half for seniors – already offered.

·      Allow 4^th formers to miss Monda Activities / one a term if there is an amazing society talk on offer.

·      Automatic doors – apparently these are going wrong in many places.

·      Clock on the DT Department – could a bigger one be put on the side of the school wall so that one could see the time from pitch 4? Slight misunderstanding with the original question.

·      Separate computer rooms for gaming i.e. not the language lab for hard core gamers. Perhaps allow juniors to use economics resource centre at lunch for QUIET gaming?

·      Common Room open earlier – done.

·      Better sports education – more speakers for members of sports teams eg. Nutritionists / physiotherapists.

·      Could protein shake bottles be sold in the school shop – talk to them.

·      CCTV repair – recently, the theft rate has gone up. Apparently the changing rooms in the Sports Complex have been attacked, as well as those used by the Swimming clubs on Saturdays

·      Coffee machine in U8 Common Room – coming.

·      Could wireless printers be put into the old space that had the porter’s lodge in it, for those wishing to print from laptops?
