On top of learning and understanding Tideway navigation, making sure you always turn around to see what is approaching you, or what you are approaching is critical.
Simply being confident that you are in the correct position on the river is not enough, as other river uses/debris may be where you would ideally navigate.
Take extra care at cross over points as crews, especially eights, travel very fast with the stream and can easily catch you out.
Help each other on the river by alerting each other and other river uses of hazards or danger that they may have not noticed.
ALWAYS REMAIN IN EYESIGHT OF YOUR COACH
